Valentine Ideas

Can we all agree that men and women have completely different ideas for Valentines Day?

Valentine Ideas

Have you ever broken up with someone right before Valentines Day just so you wouldn’t have to say or do things that you didn’t mean?

Women want romance.  Men want……

<—– I guess he thinks he’s sexy?!?

I’ve never really been a fan of Valentines Day.  Personally I think it’s a little cheesy.  So instead of getting all mushy, I like to have fun with it.  My husband is mushy and always remembers and gets me flowers and chocolates.  I love him…but I yawned just typing it.

If you are not over the top in love with someone, Valentines Day can be stressful and leave you clueless on what to do.  Mushy or not, here are some ideas to have fun with on Valentines Day.

Be organized with your fun and plan ahead!

Valentines Day Fun

  • If someone gives you one of those annoying musical cards, follow them around with it and play it over and over just to drive them crazy.
  • Shower them with love!  This one is for anyone (kids, men, or friends) Fill up the shower with balloons.  Each balloon can have love notes or funny notes inside.  I did this for my husband one year and wrote on the outside of the balloons with a sharpie.  You can also write on the inside of shower curtain with washable markers.
  • Under cover lover.  On his side of the bed pour several bags of the “Be Mine” heart candy under the covers.
  • Write on his windshield in big bold letters “Be My Valentine” the night before.  He will have to drive to work with it on there.
  • If he has a business meeting to go to, put a pair of red lace panties in his brief case or in the pockets of his suit.
  • If you are Mrs. Cleaver and make his lunch, cut his sandwich into a heart shape.  His coworkers will have fun with that.
  • Fill his brief case up with Hershey Kisses.
  • Hang a pair of HUGE red panties or a red bra half way out of his trunk.  Hopefully he won’t see it before going to work.
  • Light a fire in the fire place and make smores with pink marshmallows.
  • Make notes out of ABC blocks and hide them around the house.
  • Give a huge red heart box.  But take all the chocolate out (for you) and wrap a gift he will like!
  • Put a red light bulb in a lamp.
  • Call in sick and tell them you think it is your heart.
  • Give a toy stethoscope so he can listen to your heart.
  • Give one rose bud and a beer then tell him “This bud’s for you.”
  • Put red sheets on the bed.
  • When he gets home from work, have a trail of rose petals leading him to his recliner.
  • Make him watch chick flicks.
  • Instead of lace, wear red flannel pajamas to bed.

Cher, I am glad to know there are still some hopeless romantics out there! Thanks for coming!

Gotta say I love it – I love Xmas, Easter, Halloween etc; The gift of being allowed to be with the inner child get creative and enjoy – valentines is to say I LOVE YOU – never a more precious gift.
It is only ruined by hype – I like to make things to show my appreciation and love.

Just an old romantic really – took me a long time to admit it but I love it all now 🙂

Haha @ Diane! I have never been mushy either that is why I prefer to bring humor in to it. Thanks for commenting and have a great day!

  4. Neither of us is big into Valentines Day! We aren’t mushy gushy like that. I know he loves me because he cooks me dinner because if dinner was left up to me, we would have poptarts and easy mac – I hate cooking!
